1. About these terms

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the AI Quiz Generator on mrwang.co.uk ("QuizGen").

QuizGen is an educational tool designed to assist teachers and other educators in creating quizzes, worksheets and other educational resources from lesson content.

By clicking "Generate", or otherwise using QuizGen, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use QuizGen.

2. Use of QuizGen

QuizGen is intended to support the creation of educational materials.

You may use QuizGen for legitimate educational, professional and personal purposes, provided that your use complies with these Terms of Use and applicable law.

You must not use QuizGen:

• for any unlawful purpose;
• to upload or process information that you do not have permission or a lawful basis to use;
• to deliberately submit malicious software or other material intended to damage or disrupt QuizGen;

3. Uploaded content

QuizGen allows you to submit information and upload lesson materials, including supported document formats such as PDF, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint files.

You remain responsible for the content that you submit.

By uploading content, you confirm that:

• you have the necessary rights, permissions or authority to upload and process the content;
• your use of the content does not breach any applicable law, agreement or third-party rights;
• where the content contains personal information, you have an appropriate lawful basis or other authority for sharing that information with QuizGen; and
• you have taken reasonable steps to avoid submitting unnecessary personal or confidential information.

Where possible, you should remove or anonymise personal information before uploading lesson materials.

4. Personal and pupil information

QuizGen may process personal information contained within material submitted by you.

If you are working in a school or any other educational organisation, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of QuizGen complies with your organisation's policies and applicable data protection requirements.

You should not upload sensitive, confidential or identifiable pupil information unless it is genuinely necessary and they are authorised to do so.

In particular, you should avoid uploading:

• pupil names;
• addresses or contact details;
• photographs of pupils;
• medical information;
• safeguarding information;
• individual pupil records; or
• other information that is not necessary for generating the requested educational material.

5. AI-generated content

QuizGen uses artificial intelligence to generate educational materials.

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, inappropriate questions, incorrect answers or other errors.

QuizGen does not guarantee that generated content will:

• be factually accurate;
• be suitable for a particular age group;
• meet the requirements of a particular curriculum;
• be accessible to all learners;
• be free from bias;
• be suitable for formal assessment; or
• be appropriate for a particular educational context.

You are responsible for reviewing generated content before using it with pupils, students or other learners.

QuizGen should be considered an assistance tool rather than a replacement for professional judgement.

6. Ownership of uploaded content

You retain ownership of content that you upload to QuizGen.

Uploading content does not transfer ownership of that content to QuizGen operator.

You grant QuizGen the permission necessary to process, transmit, store and analyse submitted content for the purposes described in these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, including providing and improving QuizGen.

7. Service improvement and analysis

Information submitted to QuizGen may be retained and analysed to help maintain, evaluate and improve QuizGen.

This may include analysing:

• the types of educational resources submitted;
• broad subject areas;
• quiz generation requests;
• generated outputs;
• system performance;
• errors and failures; and
• general patterns of Service usage.

Where possible, information used for service analysis will be anonymised or aggregated so that individuals cannot reasonably be identified.

I may use anonymised or aggregated information in educational research, practitioner inquiry, presentations, meetings, conferences, reports, publications and other activities relating to the development or evaluation of QuizGen.

8. Third-party services

Your submitted content may therefore be processed by these providers where this is necessary to provide QuizGen.

9. Availability of QuizGen

I aim to provide a reliable and useful Service, but I do not guarantee that QuizGen will always be available or operate without interruption.

QuizGen may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• technical problems;
• failures affecting third-party services;
• security incidents; or
• circumstances outside our reasonable control.

I reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue features of QuizGen where reasonably necessary.

10. Copyright and intellectual property

You are responsible for ensuring that material uploaded to QuizGen may legally be processed.

You must not upload copyrighted, confidential or proprietary material where you do not have permission or another lawful basis to do so.

QuizGen's software, design, branding and underlying functionality remain the property of mrwang.co.uk, except where otherwise stated.

Generated educational content may be used by you subject to any applicable third-party rights and applicable law.

11. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect QuizGen and information processed through it.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee complete security.

You should therefore avoid submitting information that is unnecessarily sensitive, confidential or personally identifiable.

12. Limitation of responsibility

QuizGen is provided as an educational assistance tool.

To the extent permitted by law, QuizGen operator is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable AI-generated content.

You remain responsible for reviewing generated materials and determining whether they are appropriate for their intended use.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

13. Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to QuizGen, technology, legal requirements or how QuizGen operates.

The latest version will be published on this page.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were most recently revised.

Where a change materially affects you, reasonable notice will be provided where appropriate.
